Cookie Surprises – affiliate program closed without warning

Surprise, indeed.

received on Sunday, February 20th. (sounds to me like Cookie Surpriss was not paying their invoices and got cut off from the supplier):

Thank you for being a valued Cookie Surprises affiliate!

It is with great regret that we must announce that CookieSurprises had made a decision to close their website indefinately. *Sadly, our cookie supplier has made an unexpected decision to no longer supply small businesses and focus on larger ones.

Thank you so much for being a valued affiliate and we wish you well in your future affiliate partnerships!

  1. CookieSurprises says:

Why would you write such a thing? Our Supplier was Corso Cookies and recently announced a 24 cookie minimum on all cookies. My kids and I ran this business from our home and decided there was no way we could meet that minimum, especially since our business is extremely small ( after a year of being open we unfortunately had less than 25 orders a month, on average) So to carry 100 cookie designs we would have to buy 24oo cookies to carry each design and with 25 orders a month, there would be no way to ensure the cookies would be fresh for our customers.

You are welcomed to call Corso and check their new policy on wholesale minimums that went into effect this month ( without warning). I am disappointed you would slander us without consulting us for facts. And as for invoices , we paid ALL of our invoces before we even got our cookies. And as for your statement, everything we bought for the business we paid for in advance… because our company was so small, we were *never* billed after being sent products. Only larger companies are allowed to engage in such practices.

I am very disappointed you would post something like this. My kids were very upset we had to close this business after we have worked so hard on it. Since we have not had an order since Feb 10th, we felt now was the best time to close as our cookies on hand have almost reached their shelf life, and we were not prepared to make a 2400 cookie order that we knew could not be sold before the cookies went bad.
